Al-Ummah is a residential summer camp that serves American Ismaili Muslim youth ages 16 to 17. The vision of Al-Ummah is to help develop exemplary, confident, American Ismaili youth who are well integrated into Western society; equipped to compete successfully in all walks of life through merit; use their intellect to interpret and practice their faith; and who can be contributing members of the communities they live in.

Our Faith in Action
From morning prayers to sports, Al-Ummah consists of carefully curated activities designed to ensure that campers live and practice the principles of our faith. Each activity intentionally ties in the values of compassion, community, integrity, and curiosity. Our program is designed to provide a supportive environment where participants can grow, develop new skills, and build meaningful relationships with their peers.
Building Community: One Bond at a Time
Throughout the 3 weeks at camp, Al-Ummah enables participants to build relationships with peers and staff from diverse backgrounds. Our team consists of experts in various fields who are passionate about sharing their knowledge and mentoring our participants. By engaging with each other and our staff, participants can broaden their horizons and gain a deeper understanding of the world around them. Thoughtfully designed experiences encourage everyone at camp to learn from one another and create lasting connections that stay with them long after camp.
Individual Growth
Camp activities such as skill-building, workshops, personal reflection, and self-discovery are designed to help participants grow. By providing opportunities for learning, introspection, and exploration, these activities can help individuals develop new skills, gain self-awareness, prioritize mental wellness, and discover their true potential.
